I CONGRESS of

Macedonian Association of Radiotherapy and Oncology

26–28 NOVEMBER 2026 Hilton Skopje • Skopje, North Macedonia

Congress Concept

The I Congress of Macedonian Association of Radiotherapy and Oncology is a clinically focused meeting centered on multidisciplinary decision- making, precision oncology and modern radiotherapy. Each tumor-specific session follows the patient pathway from diagnosis and molecular characterisation to surgery, systemic treatment, radiotherapy and coordinated follow-up, with difficult clinical cases used to translate current evidence into practical treatment decisions.

Programme principles

Core scientific tracks

Precision oncology & MTB

biomarker selection, NGS, liquid biopsy, ESCAT actionability and shared treatment decisions

Modern radiotherapy

IGRT/VMAT, adaptive radiotherapy, SBRT/SRS, brachytherapy, re-irradiation and systemic–RT integration

Breast cancer

molecular subtype, neoadjuvant strategy, surgery, systemic therapy and risk-adapted radiotherapy

Thoracic oncology

diagnosis and staging, surgery versus SBRT, perioperative treatment, chemoradiotherapy and targeted therapy

Melanoma & skin cancers

pathology, neoadjuvant/adjuvant treatment, advanced systemic therapy, surgery and radiotherapy

Neuro-oncology

integrated diagnosis, glioma treatment, SRS/SRT, re-irradiation and brain metastases

Gynaecological cancers

molecular classification, surgery, systemic therapy, EBRT and image-guided brachytherapy

Gastrointestinal oncology

organ preservation, biomarker-driven therapy, surgery, ablative treatment and radiotherapy
